JOURNEY BEGINS.

The children of Israel set out with their things,children and flocks with great joy to the promised land that God has promised to Abraham hundreds of years ago.At last they were free from the rude Egyptians who made them to work so hardly,but how to find the way to Cannan the promised land.There are no sign posts to show them the way all they could around them was desert.Then God said to Moses that he will lead the people safely to the promised land.Day time a pillar of cloud and night time a column of fire would be there ahead of them to show the way. When the cloud or the column of  fire moved the people also moved when the cloud or the fire stopped the people also stopped and camped there, till the the cloud or the fire moves the children of Israel stopped their journey.
                                                             Mean while in the land of Egypt  the king was having second thoughts he forgot what had happened to the land of Egypt and to his people , he forgot the mighty works god has done to rescue his people. The king was very sad that he had let the Israel people go and now his construction was stopped so he thought that he will drive them back to Egypt . He gave commands to make the chariots to be ready and gave instructions to his soldiers to get back the people of Israel .
                                                             The children of Israel camped near the sea of reads and when they looked out they saw the large multitude of horses coming towards them and a great panic came among the people , all the people went to Moses and started blaming Moses for all that happened , Moses was so sad then god spoke to Moses "Do not be afraid i am with you take your stick and hold over the water ", Moses did as he  was told by God when Moses stretched the stick above the water a strong east wind began to blow and whipped the water to the banks and left a clean path to cross over . The children of Israel started marching  forward . The waters stood like a wall both sides the people walked all night and crossed the sea. By this time the kings men too were marching along the path , their wheels stuck in the mud, and their horses were not able to draw them . When all the people safely reached the other side , Moses again raised his stick over the water and the water came back again closing the path, all the Egyptians were covered with water and the people of Israel never saw  them again thus God has saved his children from the Egyptians forever,the people rejoiced and sang praises to God.

GODS PUNISHMENT TO EGYPT

God punishes Egypt

                      God promised Moses that he would do many terrifying things in so that the king will understand how powerful he is and the people of Israel will understand that god can rescue them out of Egypt .

               First Moses and Aaron went to the king and warned him that if he don't let the people Israel go free from his country all kinds of misfortune will happen in Egypt . The king laughed and made fun of them , refused to pay attention to their words . As god ordered , Moses raised his stick over the life giving water of the river Nile and the water turned into red oozing liquid out of that water frogs came jumping and hopped into their beds , vessels and into their ovens all the land was filled with frogs . The chief magicians copied Moses and showed him what wonderful tricks they can do , but none were able to make the water pure and take away the frogs . The king was sorry to  himself and called Moses , told him that he will let his people go if their god take away the frogs . Moses prayed to god the red oozing liquid turned into pure water and all the frogs died . The movement the trouble was over the king changed his mind and said "No".

                 Then god sent stinging , whining gnats and fat buzzing flies . each time when the trouble comes the king would feel sorry as soon as the trouble goes away he said "No". Cows , donkeys and horses died and the people Egypt them self suffered from red painful boils , but still the king said "No". A storm came , and huge hill stones rained like bullets but the still the king said "No". Hungry locusts came and destroyed the crops , but still the king said "No". the sky became black , whole Egypt was plunged into darkness for three days , the children of Israel were kept safe in Goshen from all these troubles god has proved that he was stronger and greater than all the gods of Egypt and clever than black magicians of Egypt .  Moses and Aaron went to the king to warn him about the last and worst punishment Moses said to the king "  god of Israel says in every Egyptian family first born child will die , if u don't obey god after this you will let his people go", but still the rude king did not give ear to the warning  . Moses went to the people of Israel and said "to night god's angle will pass all over the Egypt killing all the first born child  in every house, god promised you and your children will be kept safe but you should  follow some instructions , every father should cut a lamb and dumb the blood on the door post , this will be the sign when the death angle passes that your his obedient child, every mother should prepare a special feast and all the family should eat together , stay indoors , when your children ask you what it is tell them that this is pass over meal and how god saved them when the death angle passes". all the children of  Israel did as they were told to do by Moses all the fathers killed a lamb and dubbed  the blood on the door post and mothers prepared roast lamb and they wear safe in doors . Middle of the night they a  great cry from all the houses of Egypt then they understood god has done as he told , all the first born male child died from the king to the poor. king sent for Moses  and asked him to leave his country along with his people . All the children of Israel started and the Egyptians  gave them gold and silver and urged them to hurry out of their country before more terrible things happen in their land.              

MOSES AND THE KING

Moses and the King

                  Moses and his family set on the road to Egypt , before they reached Egypt Moses met his brother Aaron and told him what god spoke to him . they first called all the Israelite leaders and told them what god as planning for them , god is going to give them a land of their own . the people of Israel were very happy at last their troubles were coming to an end .
              Moses and Aaron went to the king and said "the god of Israel says that you should let his people go free from this country" the king replied rudely "i don't know this god and i certainly shall not do as he says" and the king gave new orders to the Egyptians foremen who were in-charge of the workers "till now you have provided all the things they needed , but from now they shall go out into the fields cut their own straw and make bricks , see that they make as many bricks as they did before". 
              It was a difficult and impossible task when Israelites failed to make as many bricks as they have done before , the Egyptians whipped them very badly , Israelites life became very miserable and they were very angry all the leaders of the people came to Moses and told him how their life became .
               Moses was in despair , he was worried and disappointed and told god how he felt then god spoke to Moses and said "wait , i will keep my promise because the king will not obey me he will have many hard lessons to learn , he and my people will also begin to understand that how great and powerful i am".        

 

OUT OF THE MESS GOD CAN CREATE A MESSAGE

           Once a little girl was traveling in a plane . She was sitting near the window and reading comic book , suddenly the plane caught in a thick fog and they don't know in which way they are going all the passengers were in panic , they are worried about their lives , all the passengers started praying to their gods ,the little girl dint care at all about the trouble ahead , she was still enjoying her comic book after sometime the captain came and told that they are out of danger .
           when everything was going calm and smooth one of the passenger noticed that the girl was so cool and calm when all the passengers were terrified and worried about their lives . The passenger went to the little girl and asked "don't you fear that you will die? we are so high above the land , How can you sit still and read book when all the big people are worrying about what will happen to them"? then the little girl replied the person who is controlling the plane is my dad , i don't fear because my dad knows how to land me safely .
            No matter whats the trouble ahead the little girl trusts her dad completely and she knows that her safety is in the hands her dad , in the same way we should trust our god . How much ever dark our days may be we should not forget that our future lies in the hands of living god .        
            So friends let us see some people from the bible who trusted god in their difficult  circumstances . Joseph is separated from his family in a very young age , he was sold into slavery as a slave . he suffered so much went into prison but still he was loyal to the god he trusted god in his desperate situations . God raised him as a prime minister in the same land where once he was sold as a slave . He was rewarded for his loyalty god blessed him in  double measure .
             Let me tell you another example , if we see Daniel in Bible , he was taken as a captive to Babylon , he lost all his family , friends and everything in his life , he was in a strange land among the unknown language people . Inspite of his troubles Daniel did not leave God he use to pray seven times in a day , he never complained to God about his troubles and pains , till the end he was faithful to God . Daniel dint care about his life , he was ready to sacrifice his life , he was thrown into loins pit still he stood for god . this is the best example of being faithful to God . God made Daniel the chief counselor and blessed him with name and fame . 
              There are many people in the Bible who left everything and suffered for the sake of God and if we see their ending it was not like the beginning , who ever stood for God were blessed because god will never let his children to be ashamed , he knows when to lift and when to make them great . God can create a message out of a mess , and we should not forget that our future lies in the hands of 'Jesus' .
                 He will never let his children down so we can trust the man who died for us.He will never and ever leave us in the times of trouble. So my dear friends if your passing through a night of sorrow , sickness or pain don't forget that our god is able to bring you out from every trouble your facing in your life.Don't loose faith , stand straight , wipe away your tears , take your place and look to good.        
                            




 

GOD TALKS TO MOSES

              Moses grows up and becomes a man .His mother Jochebed taught him about the true living god and how he saved him from being cast into the river. When Moses returned to the Princess when he saw his own people suffering under slavery his heart was troubled . One day while he was walking around the city he saw two men fighting with each other and they are one Egyptian and the other one is Hebrew. Moses got angry and killed the Egyptian for fighting with Hebrew and buried him in the sand . The other day he again saw two Hebrews fighting he went to them and asks why they were fighting  among them selves than one of the Hebrew tell him that he knows what Moses had done to that Egyptian. The news that Moses killed an Egyptian the other  day reached to the ears of Pharaoh , By hearing that news king was  furious and commands to kill Moses. 
                                                       Moses fled for his life and he dwelt in the place of Midian . The priest of the Midian had seven daughters , one day when Moses was sitting near a well , the seven daughters of the priest of Midian came to draw water for there flocks , mean while some shepherds came and drove them away than Moses  helped  the girls and drew water for their flocks. When the girls returned home their father asked them that how come they were back so soon than the girl explained there father how an Egyptian helped  them from the bully shepherd and drew water for them. After listening to every thing their father sends the girls to fetch Moses to home so that he will eat some bread with them. Moses was content  to dwell with that man and he gave one of his daughter Zipporah as a wife to Moses . As the time passed by the king of Egypt died , and the children of Israel cried to god , to deliver them from the hands of Egyptians . the Lord heard the cries of his children and came down to help them .
                   Moses was taking care of his father in laws flocks , he led them to the west side of the desert and came to the mountain of God . God's angel appeared to Moses in a flame of fire out of a bush , Moses went near the bush to see whats happening to the bush , then the Lord spoke to Moses saying that he had surely heard the cries of his children and he came to deliver them , he wants to give them a land of honey and milk (the promised land) Moses should speak to the Pharaoh to let the people of  Israel to go to the promised land . "Not me god Moses begged i am nothing , don't send me as their leader" but god promised him that , he will be with him and he will lead his people into the promised land . God said "take your stick Moses , you will do wonderful things with this stick , that will prove to my people and to the king of Egypt that i am the true and living god , most powerful than the God's he worshiped . Moses obeyed Gods word and took his two sons , wife and the stick in hand , set to the land of Egypt.

Life history of 12 disciples:

Simon Peter

                   Simon was born at Betsaida (in Galilee,Israel).His fathers name  Jonah,apostle Andrew was his brother.Jesus named Simon Cephas,meaning in the Syriac language a Rock (Peter is the Greek translation of Cephas) Peter was called by the apostle Paul a pillar of the church.He primarily ministered to Jews,it was believed that he preached in Babylon.When Peter went to Rome John Mark the writer of Mark Gospel served as a translator to Peter.
                    Peter rejoiced in the Lord when his wife was killed in front of his eyes,he was imprisoned for 9 months in darkness and torched severely,because of the Roman Emperor Nero Circus Peter was crucified head towards downwards in Rome in 67 AD.

MOSES

              Moses is the greatest leader in the BIBLE . The BIBLE says again there will not be a leader like Moses . He is a unique leader whom God has chosen to lead his people into the promised land . Moses did many wonderful works by the power of God , still those works inspire us in our life. He showed the world how a leader should be . Let us see how this wonderful man's birth was.
                                          After the death of Joesph the children of Israel continued to live in the land of Egypt. God has blessed them so they increased in number and started spreading all over the land of Egypt . The Pharaoh (king of Egypt) was scared that these people may fill the entire land and rule Egypt . He started to make the people of Israel to work even harder so that they may become week . Even though the king made them to work hard they started increasing in number more and more . Then the king called  midwife and said 'when you see the Hebrew women upon the stools if it is a male kill them if it is a female let it live' , but the midwives feared the Lord they didn't do as the king commanded them to do and they saved the male child . When the king asked them why they have done like this the midwives replied that Hebrew women are not like the women of Egypt , they are so strong they delivered before the midwives attend to them . 
            Pharaoh passed a commandment that every first born male child of Hebrews should be thrown into the river . there lived a women from the tribe of Levi she conceived a male child and hid him for three months when the child's cry became more louder she could not hide him any longer, so she took a basket and covered it with tar for water proof , prayed and laid the baby in that basket and carried it to the river and left the basket among the reeds on the bank of the river and kept her daughter  Miriam to watch whats happening to the baby and she left home.
                                 By the time the daughter of Pharaoh came to wash her self in the river and saw the basket and ordered her maids to fetch it . The maids bought the basket and opened it and found a baby sleeping inside. The princess felt pity for the baby , that gracious look on the Pharaohs daughters face made Miriam bold enough to step out and ask the princess that if she would like to have a nurse for the baby to look after the princess agreed . Miriam brought her mother to the princess , princess said 'look after this baby and i will pay you wages and he shall be my son and he shall be called 'MOSES' because i drew him out of the water' .                

BASIC THINGS ABOUT BIBLE

                        The bible is divided into two testaments one is 'OLD TESTAMENT' and other one is 'NEW TESTAMENT'.Old testament talks about the creation of the earth and rise and fall of man . In old testament we can see 'COMMANDMENTS' which were given to Moses by gods own hand and hand writing .We can see life histories of God's men and  prophets . Old testament also talks about the prophecy about Jesus birth and his second coming.There are '39' books in old testament .

                                                        The new testament talks about the birth of Jesus Christ and the wonderful things which he has done on this earth.New testament is nothing but the fulfilling of the prophecy about Jesus birth.there are '27' books in the new testament in which one of the very important book is 'REVELATION' . This book talks about the second coming of Jesus Christ , new earth and new heaven and many thing which will really happen in future .

Genesis 

The first book in the bible is Genesis  it means beginning . It is about the creation of the universe . This first book in the bible is written by Moses.

Exodus 

Exodus is the second book in the bible it was written by Moses. Exodus means a journey by  large group of people. In this book we can see the ten commandments which god wrote and gave to Moses. There are 40 chapters in this book.
